“You will join a global team spread across DK, Sweden, Germany, UK, the Netherlands, Poland, Bahrain, Riyadh and Hong Kong. Here, you will be part of the Procurement team responsible for sourcing Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects for Arla’s ~60 production sites with your main focus being on the Danish sites.” says Procurement Senior Director, Michael Torp-Hansen.About the role
You will get a chance to work within the Capex category which is one of the biggest categories we have in Procurement in Arla. The Procurement Capex team is in total 8 people spread across Sweden, Denmark, Germany & UK, so you will have plenty of support when learning the ins and outs of this exciting and complex category!
- Develop and launch RFQs / RFPs for supplier selection.
- Analyze the proposals and make recommendations to key internal stakeholders.
- Negotiate quality, time, cost and terms.
- Ensure good stakeholder management.
- Implement sourcing strategies for categories /regions.
- Support sourcing strategy through market studies.
- Facilitate sourcing decisions with tools /processes.
- Coordinate projects across Capex sub-categories.
- Draft project contracts and lead contract.
In addition, you will establish, maintain and develop optimal relationships with our suppliers, ensuring that they meet agreed-upon quality standards and deliver on-time solutions, products and services. In this role, as you will enjoy close collaboration with various production sites in Denmark and your procurement team and can therefore expect some travel activity, approximately 10-20 days per year.
Your background
Your background could be within a range of different areas; you may have some relevant work experience within e.g. Capex or Supply Chain during or after university – more important is, that you have a solid understanding of the complexity of delivering large projects, which you may have acquired from working with procurement, engineering or another relevant field, preferably in the dairy, building/construction industry or similar. We are looking for proven procurement skills, business understanding, experience in negotiating contract agreements, for example through work in an international company.
Essentially you have well-versed stakeholder management skills and know how to develop positive relations with people across cultural borders and with various backgrounds. This includes applying a sound business understanding, an open mindset, comprehensive collaboration skills and the ability to adapt your communication directly to all levels of the organization.
Personally, you see yourself as an outgoing, independently working change agent with a positive attitude and win-win approach. You are motivated by achieving your goals both individually and in close collaboration with others. You are a team player who thrives in a diverse and international work environment with many stakeholders and where objectives and priorities shift continuously. Lastly, you are fluent in written and spoken Danish & English.
