Classroom Assistant (FT) [United Kingdom]

 

Job Description:

Lara search is in the search of a Classroom Assistant to join our team of educators. As a Classroom Assistant, you will work alongside the teacher to provide support and assistance in the classroom. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the classroom is a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities:

  Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering lessons
• Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional help
• Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to the teacher
• Help to maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
• Assist with classroom management and behavior management
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences as needed
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in education or related field preferred
• Prior experience working with children preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
• Demonstrated commitment to student success and positive learning outcomes

Requirements:

• Available to work 08:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.
• Previous experience supporting children or young adults with additional needs.
• Available immediately to work as a Learning Support Assistant.
• Happy to apply for or already have an enhanced DBS.
